MOTIVATED BY LOVE: KING’S ACADEMY
Education Where Opportunity Is Hard to Reach
King’s Academy is located in Rabondo Sub Location, West Sakwa Location, Awendo Sub County of Migori County, Kenya, Africa.
The school has more than 300 co-ed students, with grade levels including Baby Class, Pre-Unit, Nursery, and USA Grades 1–8.
More than 90% of the students are orphans, while the remaining children primarily come from poor peasant farming families.
Why It Matters
King’s Academy is located in the heart of a rural village where access to many basic services remains limited. Roads, water, electricity, public transportation, and medical care can be difficult to access.
For children growing up in these circumstances, education can represent something much bigger than a classroom, it can be a path toward opportunity.
How DDI Is Helping
Dorcas Destiny International supports mission partnerships that help children and communities facing significant economic and social challenges.
Through this work, DDI seeks to help create stronger educational opportunities for children who may otherwise have limited access to them.
The Difference It Makes
Every student carries a story, and every child deserves the chance to imagine a future beyond the circumstances they were born into.
Education can give children the confidence, knowledge, and opportunity to begin building that future.
Looking Ahead
Be Part of the Mission
