BELOVED DESTINY CHILDREN’S HOME – LODWAR
A Safe Place to Begin Again
In Lodwar, Turkana County, Kenya, Dorcas Destiny International, in partnership with Beloved Church in Lena, Illinois, is establishing the Beloved Destiny Children’s Home.
The home will provide safe shelter, care, and long-term support for 36 children who were previously living on the streets or in extremely vulnerable circumstances.
Why It Matters
Many children in Lodwar face heartbreaking challenges, including:
- Loss of parents and family support
- Extreme poverty and instability
- Lack of access to education
- Unsafe living conditions
Without intervention, children can be left without the protection, guidance, and opportunities they need.
How DDI Is Helping
Beloved Destiny Children’s Home will be created to give vulnerable children a safe and nurturing environment where they can begin again.
The home will provide:
- Safe and stable housing
- Daily nutritious meals
- Access to education and school support
- Mentorship and emotional care
- Life skills and personal development
Our Vision
This is about more than providing a roof.
It is about creating a place where children can feel safe enough to heal, supported enough to learn, and encouraged enough to dream again.
We want these children to know that their past does not have to define their future.
