Neema & Hekima Schools
A Meal Today. More Possibilities Tomorrow.
Neema and Hekima Schools serve children from high-poverty communities where access to safe learning spaces, educational resources, and enrichment opportunities is limited.
Dorcas Destiny International currently partners with both schools to provide porridge and/or lunch, helping ensure children have something nourishing during the school day.
Why It Matters
Children in these communities often face:
- Overcrowded classrooms and limited activity space
- Limited learning materials
- Few structured programs during school breaks
- Minimal access to creative or faith-based enrichment
- Families struggling to meet even basic needs
When a child is hungry, learning becomes harder. Sometimes, meeting that basic need is where change begins.
How DDI Is Helping
Today, DDI helps provide meals to students during the school day.
As partnerships and donor support grow, the vision is to expand services beyond food and introduce an Educational Enrichment Program at each school.
Planned opportunities include:
- Weekly learning and personal development sessions
- Faith and values education
- Art, music, storytelling, and creative activities
- Structured engagement during school breaks
Current Needs
DDI is seeking support for:
- Donors to officially adopt Neema and/or Hekima as a project and help fund the meal program
- Weekly Educational Enrichment Programs
- Supplies and activity materials
- Expanded school-break programming
