Donna V. Werner, founder of Dorcas Destiny International, established the organization with a mission to transform lives through compassion, education, and empowerment.

Her story is one of hope, vision, and dedication to uplift children and women across Kenya.

Donna V. Werner

​BACKGROUND

Mrs. Werner’s background includes many years of program development and implementation work during her tenure in higher education and in executive leadership. Mrs. Werner is a skilled and highly-effective leader, trainer, facilitator, and administrator. 

​Ms. Werner started her career in the financial services industry in the mid-2000’s, and has been successful in assisting individuals, families, and business owners to understand and develop a financial plan that includes a solid base of insurance products.  Ms. Werner’s passion for learning and education resonates throughout her many interactions with clients.

​EXPERIENCE

Presently she actively works in the financial services industry providing worksite/employee benefits and presenting business and financial principles in small group settings and to individuals and families.  

​​Her expertise has been utilized in the financial services industry; in the health care system; in community colleges and universities; the Washington State supreme court; church settings; the k-12 school system; and within small and mid-sized nonprofit organizations.  Mrs. Werner’s work in the for-profit arena includes being a licensed insurance agent, small business consultant, corporate communications director, and training director.  She has also been instrumental in launching and leading several small and medium-sized non-profit organizations.

​Mrs. Werner provided direct support to small business owners for several years while working for a management consulting firm.  
 
EDUCATION

Mrs. Werner earned a BA Degree in Urban Studies and Leadership, an MA in Applied Behavioral Science, and a certificate in management in addition to the many hours of continuing education she has to complete annually to maintain her licenses and certifications.
